This week I was able to do poster hanging. This was a particularly interesting poster hanging because I was able to see how many awesome events are going to be happening soon around campus! It’s definitely making me excited to see what the next few weeks hold! I was not able to participate in many ambassador responsibilities this week as I left for the NODA conference with my SOC team. This was a very exciting time and by far one of my most favorite experiences I have had as a student leader. I learned many new things to bring excitement to our orientations and was also given the opportunity to bond with my team. I am getting so excited for SOL training to begin to let others have this experience!

 

In my classes, we discussed the effect of “white privilege” has on society in my sociology class. It made me realize how this phenomenon affects everyone in society and how we should be conscious of it. It was a very interesting topic and I’m glad we discussed it!
