Week Twelve
111.6/17-11/10/17
This week I was able to participate in a couple events that were very fun! The first event I participated in was the STEM event with Maple Dale Elementary. A few other ambassadors and myself helped the kids make catapults and tested different hypothesis to see how to make it launch things the furthest. This event made an impact on me because I was able to see how excited the kids were to learn new things and it was so cute! I was also interviewed by a few E-Media students on my experience as both a SOL and an ambassador of the college. They asked me many questions about both the application process and the role itself. I felt like I was able to make an impact in this interview by being able to explain how ambassadors help in many ways throughout the college. The students were very interested in my experiences and I was so happy to share them. I also conducted my largest prospective student tour this past Wednesday. They were a very energetic group and asked me so many questions about both the college and my experiences here. It reminded me how much I love to do tours and got me excited for the upcoming spring orientations to begin so that I could do more tours!
This week in classes, Prerna and I began filming for our Business Law video. Although Archie and Mia (our dogs) were being extremely difficult, they were so cute and it was great to spend time outside of class with Prerna. In both economics and accounting, we are discussing bonds and the time-value of money.
